If I can find my helmet, I am going to try and ride my bike to campus and back today. I am trying to convince myself I don’t want to spend the money on a parking pass, and the gas required to drive there and back every day. It is a three mile trip each way. That doesn’t seem so bad in my mind, but it might be… or there might be some ridiculous hill. I don’t know. But I should probably just get to it. I don’t want the first time I try to be the first day of class. But I guess that wouldn’t be too bad. My first class is at 1:30. I don’t even know how long it takes people to ride a bike three miles! Gah. I wish I were more confident in myself. I also wish I knew where my helmet was.

My husband rides two miles to and from campus here sometimes. When he was in grad school in Cincinnati he would park on the street (for free) and walk a mile up a large hill to campus.
I hope that you have a nice ride!

I love riding my bike! I ride to campus pretty much every day. It’s about 3 miles out to the barn, and that takes me about 20 minutes (downhill and BIG uphills included). Hope you have fun!

Great idea! It’ll be such good exercise and I bet you’ll end up loving it. I know just what you mean about self-confidence. It takes guts to mount up and navigate the roads. Of course, I live in a land where everyone thinks they’re Lance Freakin’ Armstrong. But after you’ve done it once, the nerves will be gone. Let us know how it goes!
