But it’s Friday.
This morning I woke up with my husband, instead of going to bed with Ginny and relishing in another 4 hours of sleep.
I got up, and was struck with a desire to wear my new pencil skirt. So I did.
I ate breakfast, washed dishes, folded laundry, changed diapers, fed the baby, put her down for another nap…
and then there was nothing to do. So I sat in the rocking chair in the living room for about 20 minutes.
Sure, I could’ve vacuumed, but I felt like I was being too productive. Is that possible?
Have any of you ever used Blurb? Or any other online book making thing (I know snapfish has a similar product).
In my dreams I am a scrap booker, but in real life I have very little patience for printing pictures, scissors and glue. Since I am taking a bajillion pictures of Ginny though, I thought it would be cool to make a yearly book, instead of just printing them and having a bunch of pictures laying around. Essentially a family year book, not unlike Kelle Hampton’s Year Books that she does for her kids. If you haven’t seen her blog it is worth a visit. She is one of my favorite bloggers, and inspires me as a mother. Patience has never been my forte, so I often try to channel the peaceful happy pictures I see on her blog. It works. Most of the time.
So yah. My books won’t be as pretty, since I have not mastered the art of capturing pictures of squirmy babies yet. But I’m getting there. Ha.
Any weekend plans? We are going to the birthday party of a friend’s son. He’s turning 5. I can’t wait until Ginny is that old! It’s going to be so much fun!
