A little bit of Tuesday love.

Yes – I realize it is Wednesday. But it’s not 7 AM here yet (why am I awake!?!?!?) so it’s kind of like still being Tuesday. Just roll with it.

Yesterday I got up at 6:30 because I’m pregnant and I have to pee at all hours of the night. Then I went and laid back down. At 6:45 my boss texted and said there was a delay, so I reset my alarm and did my best to fall asleep again! At 8 my alarm went off, but while I was considering getting out of the cozzy warm bed B-man jumped up and got in the shower! I was a little miffed. I mean… I’m the one that has to actually go somewhere! (FYI: My hubby works from home. His commute is under 30 seconds long). Whatever. I stayed in bed. Ha! Take that!

Around 8:20 I got out of bed and started getting ready. B-man took the dogs out while I went and did my make-up. I heard the dogs run in, but no B-man. I went to make my lunch, and still no B-man. I was getting a little annoyed! What the heck was he doing?! It’s not like it takes 30 minutes to pick up dog poop!

I went out of our apartment and to the front landing to look at the parking lot. And there, in the below freezing temperatures was my sweet husband, using a kitchen food scraper to scrape the ice off my car so that I could leave on time. I shouted a thank you to him, and then went back to finish packing up my lunch. It seems like such a small thing – but it made all of my little complaints in my mind disappear. Sometimes that man drives me crazy, and then he does something so thoughtful that I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratefulness to the man I married. It was a beautiful start to a great day. Even now, almost 24 hours later I am still thinking about how lucky I am to have him.

It also makes me think I should go out and buy an ice scraper. 🙂

Continue the fun!

  1. It reminds me of Monday. I heard the trash pick up coming and they didn't come the week before because of the snow. I went to get the trash and then realized my sweet husband had already taken care of it. As you said it's a small thing but it made me smile.

    1. Some times husbands do such nice things! The nice thing about living in an apartment is there is no "trash day" – we just take it to the dumpster when it's full. 🙂

    1. I hadn't thought about it being because I'm pregnant. B-man's always been prone to random acts of kindness. He really is the most thoughtful person I've ever known! And I've known him for 9 years!

  2. That's so sweet! Bobby got me an ice scraper for Christmas- not the most romantic gift, but I loved it because it was so thoughtful. The way I feel when he does something thoughtful for me motivates me to do thoughtful things for him so he can feel that way as well. And then it's a nice cycle of both of us doing sweet things for each other 🙂 And congrats on your new job!
